Chaung Tha beach is located 40 km west of Pathein. It is a pleasure to visit the unspoiled Chaung Tha beach just half a day's drive from Yangon via Pathein. There is no flight available between Yangon and Chaung_Tha. There are many bungalow type hotels along the beach with modern facilities.

Its white sand and the blue water attract the tourists to take beach leisure. It is a very convenient drive from Yangon via Pathein taking about 5 hours. The hotels are usually filled with local domestic tourists from September to April. There is a variety of choice of dinner available at reasonable prices and the sea food is very fresh. One can also visit the nearby fishing villages, rivers and swamps a sand island.
